Matera, a lesser known jewel of Italy, is said to be one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities of the world with its earliest residents dating back to 7000 years ago. A cursory look at this city of caves is enough to transport us to biblical times, perhaps the reason why many films depicting the prehistoric times have been shot here. Deemed to be the European Capital of Culture for 2019, visit it now before the crowds start descending in huge numbers.
This video has been shot exclusively on an iPhone XR. No video stabilizers or tripod has been used. It was a bit difficult to do the time lapse but you can always use your environment.
